Live auctions combine a real-time video show with a timed bidding process. You can watch the seller present an item, ask questions, and bid while everyone sees the current price.

Before the bidding starts

Read the item description, condition notes, seller information, shipping price, and return terms before placing a bid. A good host will show important details on camera, but the written listing remains your reference.

Some shows allow a pre-bid or maximum bid before the item appears live. The platform can bid automatically on your behalf up to that amount without revealing your maximum to other bidders.

During the auction

Each valid bid raises the current price by the stated increment. The timer shows how long remains. Depending on the auction rules, a last-second bid may extend the timer so every bidder has a fair chance to respond.

Treat every bid as a real purchase commitment. Do not bid simply to test the interface or increase the price for someone else.

After you win

The winning buyer is charged using the payment method on file. The seller then prepares the item and uses the order's tracked shipping flow. Keep questions and issue reports inside the platform so there is a clear record.

When the order arrives, check it promptly against the listing. If something material is wrong, contact support within the marketplace's buyer-protection window and include clear photos.
